Small and DIY interconnection requirements
Exelon sister of Pepco: apply before installation through the Green Power Connection portal. Installers usually file, but nothing stops a homeowner application. documented
Do this first: check their Heat Map and Restricted Circuit Map. Some circuits are closed or restricted to new solar, and building in one means contacting the Green Power team before you design anything. documented
Delaware side: 1:1 net metering with systems sized up to 110% of your 12-month usage, and a 2022 law raised the utility's opt-out cap from 5% to 8% of peak demand. SRECs sell through the state auction, and DNREC Green Energy grants exist on top. documented
Maryland side: the standard MD statewide Level 1 process applies, 1:1 netting, and the plug-in exemption is live. documented

Verify your export before Delmarva Power does
Delmarva Power nets your exports, but the meter still logs every reverse-flow interval, including ones you didn't plan. Worth knowing your real number before they do.
Clamp meter on the grid input · energy monitor on the export register

Every claim above is evidence-graded: documented means it traces to the tariff or the utility's own filings, reported means a dated community report. The full table covers 60 utilities: see all of Gridrules.
